TOURIST/FAMILY VISIT VISA

  • visa form (To be filled ONLINE only) (signature at 2 places on page 3 & page 4 in blue ball point ink)

  • Passport valid at least 3 months beyond the stay in Spain with 2 blank pages. Photocopy of all the pages of current passport must be submitted.

  • 2 Photos (Pls see the special note below)

  • Notorized Marriage Certificate in case of couples (Irrespective of their age); Mandatory for all. Notarized Birth certificate in case of child (Irrespective of their age)

  • Student Bonafide certificate or I-D Card copy. In case of minor below 18 years, the application form must be signed by both the parents. Photocopies of passport of both the parents, attested by Notary Public, must be attached. A "No Objection" affidavit should also be submitted on Rs. 100/- stamp paper along with all the other listed documents.

  • Hotel confirmation voucher for the entire duration of stay (for all the cities pax is going to visit in Schengen states) and travel itinerary for the entire duration of stay.

  • Covering letter explaining the reason of travel with name & designation of the signatory, date of joining of the pax and his designation, total salary drawn should also be written on the covering letter (this should tally with pax salary slip). Pax Courier address (where VFS will send the passport after visa is issued )should be mentioned on the covering letter.

  • PAN card photocopy (compulsory)

  • Proof of income i.e. last 3 years I-T challan or TDS Certificate

  • Last 6 months Original salary slip with company stamp on it

  • Latest bank statement (Personal) for last 1 year. Bank statement should be on bank's letterhead with their phone numbers and address clearly visible. The statement should also be signed by the bank manager. The last update should be within 15 days of the applicaiton. Further the bank statement should bear the seal / stamp of the bank. (Online bank statements are not acceptable)

  • Original Sworn Declaration form signed by the applicant for the Overseas Travel Insurance. Kindly download this declaration from here. http://www.vfsglobal.com/spain/india/pdf/Declaration_130215.pdf

    Overseas Mediclaim policy valid for at least 15days from the date of return to India. Insurance should be signed by the applicant in Original. The minimum coverage will be 30.000 euros or equivalent and should cover any expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention and / or emergency hospital treatment Click here to see the list of approved agencies

  • Return confirmed ticket

  • Photocopy of the applicants passports, present and previous (all the pages).

  • Old/Expired passports also to be submitted along with the new one. Incase old passport is not available, then photo copy of all the pages of that old passport need to be enclosed with the application. In case of old passport which is lost, a copy of FIR to be submitted along with the case.

  • FOR VISITING FAMILY OF FRIENDS

  1. Original KARTA Invitation letter issued by "Policia Nacional de Espana (submit in original along with the photocopy)

  2. Attested copy of the passport and the DNI or residence card of the person living in Spain.

BUSINESS VISA

  • Visa form (To be filled ONLINE only) (signature at 2 places on page 3 & page 4 in blue ball point ink)

  • Original invitation letter from the Spanish Company inviting the applicant , explaining the purpose of the present visit and the nature of existing commercial relationship. The document must be issued in Spanish language or English & Spanish. Only English language Invitation will NOT be accepted. 

  • Documents related to the economic situation, ownership and business activities of the company must be submitted.

  • For participation in conferences, sports events or cultural activities, original invitation for the same must be submitted. All other documents to justify the purpose of the visit must also be attached.

  • Hotel confirmation voucher, directly from Spain. Even if the invitation letter states that they will take care of the accommodation, the hotel confirmation is to be shown here at the time of application.

  • Covering letter explaining the reason of travel with name & designation of the signatory, date of joining of the pax and his designation, total salary drawn should also be written on the covering letter (this should tally with pax salary slip). Pax Courier address (where VFS will send the passport after visa is issued )should be mentioned on the covering letter. Cover letter should also mention details of all accompanying persons. This includes family members, friends or business associates travelling for the same purpose.

SPECIAL NOTES

  • Application form completely filled and signed by the applicant.

  • Two Recent (not older than six months) passport-size photographs in colour with white background. (3.5cm / 4.5cm) (Do not Staple)

  • The Passport should be valid for at least three months (any other type of travel document should be valid for at least six months), beyond the intended duration of stay in the Schengen territory and with at least two blank pages to affix the visa. No visa will be issued on the additional page of the passport.

  • Passport photocopy (front & last page on single page).

  • Covering letter explaining the purpose of the visit with complete and full address and contacts of host/relative/hotel in Portugal.

  • Birth Certificate & Marriage Certificate, Attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs & from their respective Embassies/Consulates in New Delhi. (For Indian nationals the document shall be attested with “APOSTILLE” sticker by the Ministry of External Affairs, Consular Division, Patiala House)

  • Overseas travel medical insurance valid for all Schengen-countries .The insurance has to cover the applicant for at least 30,000 Euros or equivalent, for all risks e.g. accident, illness, medical emergency evacuation etc. The policy has to clearly specify the period of validity and has to cover the entire duration of the trip including the date of arrival & departure.Click here to see the list of approved agencies

  • Confirmed onward/return travel ticket.

  • Proof of sufficient funds to cover all expenses while in Portugal:

    Bank Statements for the last 3 months

    Copy Income Tax Returns for the last 3 years

    Copy Salary Slips (if working).

    Copy of Pan Card

  • Sponsorship Proof:

    Sponsorship letter (Termo de Responsabilidade)

    Copy of Passport

    Copy of Residence Permit (should be valid)

  • Residence Proof:

    Residence/Rent contract copy (should be valid)

    Rent receipts for the last three (03) months

  • If the Sponsor is working,

    Declaration/Work Contract from the Company

    Salary Slips for the last three (03) months

    IRS (Income Tax Returns) for the last three (03) years

  • Bank Account statement for the last 1 year of the Sponsor.
